IE University consolidates Research Groups and Units as fundamental pillars for strengthening scientific quality, promoting innovation and transferring knowledge and the entrepreneurial spirit. The Research Groups and Units integrate IE researchers and also function as entities that promote institutional synergy and collaboration with international researchers,   in the development of research.  Following the approval in November 2021 of the new Regulations for Research Groups and Research Units, there are currently seven Research Groups and one Research Unit officially recognized at IE University,  which carry out research in the following areas:

RESEARCH GROUPS:

• The IE Econ & Finance Research Group. Coordinator: Pedro Gete
• IE Group on Non Economic Drivers of Entrepreneurship. Coordinator: Julio de Castro
• IE Operations and Management Group. Coordinator: Fabrizio Salvador
• IE Research Group for Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies. Coordinator: Álvaro Arenas
• IE Research Group on Marketing and Society. Coordinator: Dilney Gonçalves
• IE Research Datalab. Coordinator: David Gómez-Ullate

RESEARCH UNITS:

• IE Unit for Research on Firm Innovation in a Digital Environment. Director: Luis Diestre

Each Group and Unit have its own internal organizational structures, and they will all have websites to be launched soon.
