 Management of Emerging Technologies for Economic Impact
The MANETEI project is a Funded Consortium within the European Union belonging to the 7th Framework Program / Marie Curie Initial Training Networks.

The main aim of this project is tosponsor high quality doctoraltraining focused on emergent technologies and their social and economic impact.  Being part of this project will offer the participating PhD and post-doctoral students the opportunity to join an international network of experienced scholars and early-career researchers interested in doing research on the management of emerging technologies.

The MANETEI project brings together some of Europe’s outstanding Business Schools, and it includes:
  • University of Leeds (UK),
  • Grenoble Ecole de Management (France),
  • Erasmus University of Rotterdam (Neatherlands),
  • Helsinki School of Economics (Finland),
  • Fraunhofer Institute (Germany),
  • Bayer Technology Services GMBH (Germany)
  • IE Business School (Spain)
The selected students that will take part in the MANETEI project will carry out a PhD in the field of management of technology, at the interface between Operations Management and Strategy/Entrepreneurship. Being part of this experience at IE Business School will provide the students with rigorous research training, as they will have to take and pass all the courseware of IE Business School Doctoral Program. Besides this, the selected students will participate to a set of international events on the management of emergent technologies organized by the project partners.
IE Business School offers 2 funded Marie Curie PhD Fellowships in the context of the MANETEI project. The selected students will be joining de facto IE Business School Doctoral Program and will also benefit of the extra activities organized within the MANETEI project. The fellowships will cover each selected student’s tuition and maintenance (around 30.000-40.000 € per year) for the expected duration of the program (four years) . The next available intake will be October 2010. Deadline for Application will be 15th March 2010.
